Pay by bank: a deposit approved inside your own bank

By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026

Pay by bank — often called open banking or a bank link — is a payment in which the cashier sends you to your own online bank, you sign in there and approve a payment that has already been prepared. There are no card details to type, and the payment is usually confirmed straight away. Whether it is available depends on your country, your bank and the operator.

The set of methods and limits depend on the account and the operator — check the cashier to see what your account actually offers.

How the payment works

  1. In the cashier you choose "pay by bank" or your bank's logo.
  2. You enter the amount and confirm the redirect.
  3. Your bank's sign-in page opens and you authenticate with your usual banking tools.
  4. Your online bank shows a prepared payment: payee, amount and reference. Check that the payee matches the company behind the site.
  5. You approve, and the bank sends confirmation back to the cashier.

Security

The advantage of pay by bank is that you authenticate with your bank, not with the casino site, and you see the payment details in your own banking before approving. The casino never sees your banking credentials. Still, check two things. The address bar must show your bank's real domain, not a lookalike. And the payee name in your online bank must match the company named in the site's terms. If it does not, do not approve. Lookalike sites are discussed on Klondaika mirror.

Withdrawals to the bank account

If you deposited by pay by bank, withdrawals usually go back as a bank transfer to the same account. The account holder must match the casino account holder. Speed depends on the operator's processing and on how transfers are handled between the banks; we do not promise a specific time. See withdrawals and bank transfer.

Common problems

Who it suits

Pay by bank suits people who want to pay from their bank account without a card and receive payouts straight into that account, and who want a clean record: each payment appears in the banking history with the payee's name, which makes it easy to add up a month's spending. That record is also useful for budgeting — the tools are on responsible gambling. Other methods: Visa and Mastercard; the overview is in payments.

Pay by bank and bonuses

Bonus terms sometimes treat payment methods differently. Pay by bank deposits are usually eligible like card deposits, but it is worth checking the offer's terms before paying, especially if you plan to play live tables where contribution rules already limit the bonus. See bonus terms.
