About casino-klondaika.com: who we are and who we are not
By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026
casino-klondaika.com is an independent information site about the Klondaika brand and about the two topics we study most closely: live dealer tables and sports betting. We are not a gambling operator, we take no bets, we process no payments and we have no connection to Klondaika's owner or operating company. The site is published in Latvian, Russian and English.
What we do
- Explain the rules and house edge of live roulette, blackjack and baccarat.
- Explain bet types, decimal odds, implied probability and the bookmaker's margin.
- Show how to read bonus terms if you play at live tables or bet on sports.
- Describe payment methods as a list of what to look for in the cashier.
- Point to the licence register and to places where help is available.
What we do not do
We do not claim which bonuses, limits, payout times or games are currently available at Klondaika or any other operator. The operator sets them and they change. We do not publish named "player reviews" and we do not rate with stars. We do not give legal or financial advice.
How to check whether an operator is licensed
Whether gambling is legal in your country is a question for your national law. Klondaika comes from Latvia, where gambling and lotteries have been supervised by the State Revenue Service (VID) since 1 April 2026; licensing, supervision and the self-exclusion register continue under VID. To check an operator, find the organiser in VID's list of licensed gambling organisers and compare the company name with the one in the site's terms. If they do not match, or the organiser is missing, do not play. Outside Latvia, use your own regulator's public register in the same way.
RTP and volatility: two terms everyone needs
RTP (return to player) is the theoretical share of all stakes that a game pays back to players over the long run. An RTP of 96% means that, over a very large number of rounds, about 4% of stakes stay with the operator. It says nothing about a single session. For table games the house edge plays the same role: 2.70% on European roulette, 1.35% on even-money bets in French roulette with La Partage.
Volatility describes how unevenly wins are spread over time. A high-volatility game pays rarely but sometimes big; a low-volatility game pays often but small. At a live table, volatility depends on the bet: a straight-up roulette number is far more volatile than a bet on red. Game-level details are in the games section.
How we make money
The site contains partner links. If you register with an operator after clicking "See the partner offer", we may receive a commission. The button leads to an offer from an operator chosen by our partner network, which may not be Klondaika. The commission does not affect table maths or our explanations. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
