Withdrawals: from request to money in your account
By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026
The withdrawal is where you see how transparently an operator works. Most delays have nothing to do with bad faith; they come from verification, incorrect details or bank processing. Here is how the process usually runs and how to speed it up from your side.
The set of methods and limits depend on the account and the operator — check the cashier to see what your account actually offers.
Verification before the first withdrawal
Licensed operators must confirm a player's identity and age. Typically they ask for:
- an ID card or passport;
- sometimes proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement;
- sometimes a photo of the card used, with the middle digits covered.
Upload documents right after registering rather than waiting for your first withdrawal. Then the first payout will not stall on verification.
The same-method rule
Withdrawals normally go back to the method or bank account you deposited from. If you used several methods, the operator may split the payout proportionally or first return the deposited amount to the card. If a method cannot receive payouts — a prepaid voucher, for instance — the money is sent by bank transfer to an account in your name. See bank transfer.
Request statuses
| Status | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The operator has not started processing |
| In review | Checks are running, possibly verification |
| Approved | The operator has accepted the withdrawal |
| Sent | The money has been passed to the payment system or bank |
Status names vary between operators. What matters is understanding where the delay is: with the operator or with the bank.
Reverse withdrawals
Some operators let you cancel a withdrawal while it is still pending. This is a risk: the money returns to your balance and the temptation to keep playing is strong. If you have decided to withdraw, do not reverse it. If your account lets you disable reversals, use that option.
What to do about a delay
- Check that verification is complete and that there are no unread messages from the operator.
- Make sure any bonus wagering is finished — an active bonus can block withdrawals.
- Write to support and keep a copy of the conversation.
- If there is no answer or it is unsatisfactory, file a written complaint with the operator, and then with the regulator that licensed it. The route is on complaints.
Withdrawals and discipline
After a good session at a live table or a winning bet it is easy to put off withdrawing. A useful habit is to set in advance the amount at which you take part of a win out. This separates your playing budget from your winnings. Cash out on a bet slip is a different thing from a withdrawal to your bank — see sports betting. Deposit steps are on how to deposit.
Weekends and banks
Even after the operator approves a payout, banks process transfers on their own schedule. A withdrawal approved late on Friday may only reach the account after the weekend, depending on the bank and the payment system. This is not the operator delaying you — it is the banking leg of the journey.
