Bank transfer: slower, but fully documented
By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026
A bank transfer is the classic way to move money between accounts. In a casino account it is used for deposits and, more often, for withdrawals — especially for larger amounts or when the deposit method cannot receive payouts. Euro transfers within the SEPA area follow the SEPA rules; transfers in other currencies or outside that area may go through other payment systems and take longer.
The set of methods and limits depend on the account and the operator — check the cashier to see what your account actually offers.
Depositing with payment details
If you choose a bank transfer in the cashier, the operator shows payment details: the payee name, an IBAN and often a unique reference code or payment description. The reference is essential — it is how the payment is matched to your account. If you forget it or type it incorrectly, crediting can be delayed until support finds the payment manually.
Before paying, check that the payee name matches the company you found in the regulator's licence register. Never transfer money to a private person's account, even if someone in a chat suggests it.
Withdrawing to your IBAN
For a withdrawal you give your own IBAN. The account holder must match the casino account holder. After the operator approves the withdrawal, the money is sent to your bank. Timing depends on the operator's processing and on whether a standard or instant transfer is used. We do not promise specific times.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Consequence | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Missing reference | Payment not matched to the account | Copy the code from the cashier unchanged |
| Wrong IBAN | Money returned or delayed | Check the IBAN twice |
| Someone else's account | Payment rejected | Use only your own account |
| Transfer at the weekend | Slower crediting | Allow for bank working days |
When a transfer is the best choice
- For larger withdrawals, since a bank account is not bound by card limits.
- When you deposited with a method that cannot receive payouts, such as a prepaid voucher.
- When you want full documentation: your statement shows the payee, amount and date.
When it is inconvenient
For deposits, a transfer with payment details is slower than pay by bank or a card. If you want to play straight away, another method will suit you better. The slowness can also be an advantage: if a deposit does not arrive instantly, there is time to reconsider whether the session is really needed.
International transfers
If your bank account is in a different currency or outside the SEPA area, the transfer may involve conversion and intermediary bank fees. Ask your bank in advance what a transfer of that size will cost, and check which currency the casino account uses.
Transfers and your budget
If you play live tables or bet on a weekend's fixtures, a transfer lets you plan: move the budget in advance and do not play with money that is still on its way. Payout stages are explained on withdrawals, deposit steps on how to deposit, and hockey markets on hockey betting.
