Registration: open an account, verify it and log in
By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026
Opening an account at an online casino or sportsbook takes a few minutes, but it lays the ground for every withdrawal you will ever make. If the details you enter now do not match your documents, the problem surfaces exactly when you want your money back. This page describes a typical sign-up process; the form itself looks different at every operator.
Before you sign up, check the operator in the licence register of your country (in Latvia, the VID list). Our buttons lead to a partner offer that may not be Klondaika.
How to register: step by step
- Open the sign-up form on a site you have verified. Check the address and make sure the connection is encrypted.
- Enter an email address or phone number and create a password you do not use anywhere else.
- Fill in your personal details exactly as they appear on your ID card or passport: name, date of birth, address.
- Confirm your contact details with the code sent by email or text message.
- Set your limits for deposits, losses or session time right after the account is created.
- Upload your documents for verification now rather than waiting for the first withdrawal.
Verification (KYC)
A licensed operator must confirm who you are and that you are of legal age. Usually that means an ID card or passport, sometimes proof of address such as a utility bill or bank statement. In countries with a self-exclusion register, the operator also checks it during verification. In Latvia, a person listed in the Pašatteikušos personu reģistrs will not be accepted by a licensed organiser, which is exactly the point of the register.
Logging in and forgotten passwords
You log in with your email or username and password. If two-factor authentication is offered, switch it on. Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot password" link on the login form; a reset link goes to your registered email. Never send your password to support and never type it on a page you reached through an unknown link. If your account is locked after several failed attempts, contact the operator's support.
Signing up on mobile
Registration in a mobile browser works the same way as on a computer. If the operator has an app, the app usually shows the same form. Photographing documents with a phone is convenient, but make sure the image is sharp and all four corners are visible. Apps and the mobile version are covered on the mobile version page.
When registration fails
- Restricted country. The operator may not accept players from your country.
- Age. Only adults can register.
- Existing account. A second account for the same person is usually forbidden and may be blocked.
- Self-exclusion. If you are listed in a national register, a licensed operator will not open the account.
- Mismatched details. If the data does not match your document, verification will fail.
The welcome bonus at sign-up
A welcome bonus is often offered during registration or with the first deposit. For live table players and bettors it is not always worth taking: live games may count only partly towards wagering, and sports bonuses usually carry a minimum-odds rule. The operator sets the terms and may change them. Our explanation is on the welcome bonus page.
After you have an account
Before playing, read the table rules in the live casino section or the basics in sports betting. The deposit steps are described in how to deposit.
