Promo codes: the key to an offer, not the offer itself
By Kristaps Birznieks · updated October 2026
A promo code is a string of letters and numbers that activates a specific offer on your account: a deposit match, a free bet, free spins or entry to a tournament. The code itself gives you nothing beyond that offer, and the same terms apply to it as to any other promotion. We do not publish codes for Klondaika or any other operator — codes are issued by operators and change frequently.
Where codes are usually entered
- in the registration form, in a field called "promo code" or "bonus code";
- in the cashier at the moment of deposit, before you confirm the payment;
- in the "Bonuses" or "Promotions" area of your account after registering;
- on the bet slip, if the code is for a free bet.
If you enter a code after depositing, the offer may no longer be available. Read when the code must be entered before you pay.
What to check before activating
- Whether the code is for the casino or for sports betting.
- Whether your game counts towards wagering — live tables often have a reduced contribution.
- The minimum odds for a sports offer, and whether every leg of an accumulator must meet it.
- The deadline, the maximum stake and any cap on withdrawals.
- Whether the code is valid for your country and your account.
Codes from unknown sources
"Exclusive" codes promising unusually large bonuses circulate online. Many are expired or lead to a different site entirely. Only enter a code on a site whose operator you have checked in your regulator's licence register. If a code does not work, ask the operator's support rather than hunting for another one on forums.
Promo codes and live tables
If the code unlocks a casino bonus, everything about wagering applies: live roulette, blackjack and baccarat count at their own percentage, and bets covering several outcomes may be banned. The arithmetic is set out in wagering requirements. If the code is for sports, check whether in-play bets count — they are sometimes excluded. In-play betting is covered in sports betting.
Keep a record
When you activate a code, take a screenshot of the offer description and its terms. Terms can change, and if a dispute arises it is much easier when you can show what was written at the time. Keep support replies too. If a disagreement cannot be resolved, follow the route on complaints.
Is playing without a code worse?
No. Playing without a code means playing without bonus restrictions, which suits many table players better because withdrawals are available at any time. Compare offers in the bonus section and read about the reload bonus, which is often issued with a code.
Every figure on this page is an example for the arithmetic. Percentages, multipliers, deadlines and limits are set by the operator and can change at any time — the cashier and the bonus terms on the operator's site are what count.
